I remember when I was in my early twenties reflecting that my life was not the same as it used to be and that I had changed. I was once full of energy and thought perhaps this was all in the past, and I would never feel the same again. Thankfully, I came across an article about nutritional health and decided to do some research, and implement some small changes in my diet. I soon began to feel like myself again. I saw first hand how important the foods we eat really are.
However, it wasn’t until a few years later when my young son had a serious medical reaction that I focused my full attention on nutritional medicine. With the knowledge I had gained, I was able to treat him naturally without surgery or medicines that were offered. It was through this experience that my passion for helping people address their health issues was born, and am pleased to say that the whole family have been exceptionally healthy ever since.
I went on to study nutritional medicine at St. Bartholemew’s Hospital in London and qualified in 1992. I am NTCC qualified, (Nutritional Therapy Certificate of Competence), and CNHC registered, (Complementary And Natural Healthcare Council), recommended by the Dept. of Health. I love every minute of my work, helping people of all age groups with issues ranging from ‘simple’ allergies to more complex, apparently incurable diseases. Perhaps it comes from my early experiences, but I have a particular passion for helping babies and children and couples looking to conceive, or wanting help with preconceptual care.
I am one of the most experienced practitioners in London and Surrey and focus on addressing the root cause of health problems and underlying imbalances and deficiencies. Health history, dietary habits and lifestyle are considered, with testing for sensitivity to a range of foods and products using applied kinesiology. When appropriate I advise diagnostic testing at leading laboratories. Some of the health problems I deal with are food intolerances, digestion, weight-gain, fertility, skin, low energy, toxicity, respiratory, hormonal, autoimmune diseases, stress, anxiety, high blood pressure, unexplained symptoms, babies and children's health.
I have worked at the Complementary Health Partnership since it was established, and love the warmth and friendliness that has remained from day one
“After 18 months of sleepless nights and tears and fights at mealtimes and little help from the doctors, we turned to Ann. She allergy tested our daughter and found that she was intolerant to certain foods and deficient in Zinc. We followed Ann's advice and within 3 nights our daughter was sleeping through, her appetite has improved considerably and we now have a much healthier, happier little girl.” Ms C.H. – Surrey
“My daughter and I visited you in sheer desperation as she had had M.E. for two and a half years. She was so tired and depressed I wanted to try one more thing. After visiting you we excluded the foods you suggested. Two days later she started to improve. One month later she was so well we agreed to let her go back-packing to Australia. In September she will be able to take up her place at university. Last September she could not have coped. Thank you Ann.” Mrs. J.L. – Surrey
“With thanks for all your help (he is now two stone lighter).” Mrs J.H. – Surrey
“He has now had full attendance at school and no longer having tummy pains and diarrhoea. I have no hesitation of recommending you to everyone” Mrs. S.T. – Surrey
“I am pregnant!! Thank you for everything you have done for us so far, it has been life changing! (trying to conceive for 2 /1/2 years and now pregnant, 10 weeks after first consultation). Mrs. E.B. – Middlesex
“I came to see Ann. After testing me on various foods, and finding some sensitivities, she advised keeping off these foods for a month. She also gave me a diet to follow and supplements to address stomach bloating and diarrhoea, which were triggered by some of the foods in my diet. I now feel a different person!” S.K. - Surrey
